See your venture clearly. Decide The Next Move.

For solo builders and early founders who’ve started building but need clarity on what they’re really creating, who it’s for, and where it should go next.

AI makes building easier than ever. Choosing what’s worth building is still the hard part. That’s where The Next Move comes in.

The real questions are still open

  • What exactly is this venture becoming?

  • Who is it really for?

  • What should I focus on next?

  • What should I stop building?

The tools are more powerful than ever,
but making The Next Move is still the hard part.

You’ve built something real, but the picture is still fuzzy.

Maybe you’ve created a prototype, a site, or a tool using AI, no-code, or other tools.
Maybe it’s an early product, service or platform you’ve already put out into the world.

You’ve got something, but the direction isn’t clear yet.

This is where The Next Move begins.

A focused working session where we step back from the tools and map the venture clearly.

Together we clarify:

Why it exists
Who it’s really for
What value it creates
How it should take shape right now

When those all align, The Next Move becomes obvious.

Ways to Work Together

The Next Move Session

A focused working session for builders who have created something but aren’t yet sure what the venture really is. You may have built a prototype, a tool, a community, or an early product. The hard part now isn’t building more but stepping back and making sense of what you’ve created.

What we do

• Look at what you’ve built so far
• Explore what the venture could become
• Identify the real opportunity
• Decide what the next move should be

You leave with a clearer view of the venture and the decisions that matter next.

Who this is for

This session is designed for people who have something and are asking questions like:

Is this actually a venture or just a project?
Who is this really for?
Which direction should I take this?
What should I focus on next - and what should I ignore?

Format

Two short sessions over one week.
Session 1: mapping the venture and exploring the opportunity
Session 2: returning with a fresh perspective to clarify the next move

£450

The Next Move Sprint

Sometimes the session reveals something bigger.

You may realise the venture has real potential, or that there are several directions it could go. When that happens, some founders choose to continue the work through a short Next Move Sprint.

This is a deeper collaboration where we explore the venture more fully and shape what it could become.

During the sprint we typically look at questions like:

• What kind of venture is this really?
• Who is the ideal customer?
• Where is the real opportunity?
• What should the venture focus on next?

The goal isn’t to create a business plan. It’s to bring the venture into clearer focus so you can move forward with confidence.

The sprint usually takes place over a few sessions across two to three weeks.

Who this is for

Most people who come to a Next Move session have already built something. The challenge isn’t starting, it’s figuring out what the venture actually is.

Maybe this is you?

The Builder

You’ve built a prototype, tool, product or platform.

Maybe it started as an experiment or side project. Now it exists, but you’re not sure what it really is yet…a product, a venture or something else entirely.

You want to step back and see the bigger picture.

The Early Founder

You’ve started something real and people are beginning to notice.

But the venture still feels fluid. Questions about positioning, focus, or the right audience are starting to surface.

You want to make sure you’re building in the right direction.

The Generalist

You’re someone who naturally builds, experiments and connects ideas.

You may have launched a small venture, community, service or product - but there are several possible directions it could go, and choosing the right one isn’t obvious.

You want to clarify the opportunity before committing further time and energy.

I’m Steve Morris

For the past 20 years I’ve helped teams and founders think clearly about what they’re building.

I started out as a designer and UX strategist, working with startups and enterprise digital teams to shape products and services - including work with organisations like IKEA and Sainsbury’s.

Over time I realised something important.

The most valuable conversations often happen before anything gets built, when founders are still figuring out what the venture actually is.

Today I work with solo builders and early founders to step back, make sense of what they’re building, and shape ventures that are clear, credible, and worth pursuing.

Alongside The Next Move, I run workshops and strategy sessions for organisations through my facilitation work — but this practice is focused on helping individual builders see their venture clearly.

I’m based in the UK and work with founders around the world.
